“A Deep and Cruel Prejudice” by John S Rock

Today in History Africa 23 January

On this day, 23 January 1862, John S Rock delivered a speech to the Anti-Slavery Society in Boston, America.

Born in 1825, before the abolition of slavery, John S Rock was broke many racial barriers. He was one of the first medical doctors and dentists in the Unites States of America he was also admitted to the Massachusetts bar. The American Civil War was going on its second year at the time John S Rock delivered his speech.
