The Lebombo Bone of present-day South Africa and Eswatini dates back to 40,000 years!
Presently, the Ishango Bone is found in a Belgian museum. The Democratic Republic of Congo suffered under Belgium’s and King Leopold’s draconian rule many years before achieving independence in 1960. In 2023, Belgium is still in possession of original Congolese property.
