Today, 20 February 2023, is the World Day of Social Justice. It is part of the United Nations International Days and Weeks. The World Day of Social Justice has been observed annually on 20 February ever since the year 2009.
The World Day of Social Justice was created to be a day devoted to the promotion of action and change towards social justice and respect for all human rights and fundamental freedoms. Because social Justice in “a society for all” is attainable through action done at national, regional and international levels. On the World Day of Social Justice equitable and equal opportunity for all is promoted as it is what leads to the equitable distribution of income and to the access to resources in the world in all fields and for all people.
